Stop. Take a few deep breaths, think about what you're thankful for. Think about all the good things around you and in your life. Now write them down. Look at your list and appreciate what you see on that paper. It won't always be easy to write a list but if you focus on the positive for a moment it will come to you.
Keep your gratitude diary handy when you're going through tough times, keep it by your bedside for a nightly routine, or give one to someone you are thankful to have in your life.
