Pasilla Chile Magic

Raw chilaca chiles are continually smoked for a week over oak then hand ground. The flavor is rich and  smoky with hints of currant and orange. There is some heat in this jar too! 

This chile powder works over eggs, mixed into soup, rimmed on a margarita glass, or sprinkled on top of fresh fruit.
