So, how are you? I'm sure you've already read so many notes like this one. These are crazy times and I've wanted to reach out over and over but I'm definitely slow to form my thoughts and put them in writing. (Maybe it's the precise Virgo in me?)
There's no way around the facts: this is an absolutely terrifying moment to be building a business. We are still moving forward with our brick and mortar- it's taking a little bit longer than we thought but that's ok. These past few weeks have had me thinking "why are we even doing this?" but then I talk myself down. We're doing this out of love. We're creating a showcase for all the products that we are truly so excited about. Genara IRL will be a beautiful, peaceful refuge and a place of discovery. It's about creating community, near and far. It's about infusing your life and surroundings with beauty and joy. It's about lifting up new, up-and-coming makers and artists. It's helping grow their reach and giving you, the customer, something different. I hope that you enjoy these finds as much as we do.

This season of closures and social distancing and complete shutdowns will be tough to get through. The uncertainty makes me nervous but I know that for better or worse, everything is temporary.
